Addressing the Audience
The point of sale would be on a store shelf at eye level, I
designed a bright, distinctive masthead so as to attract people’s attention,
while no aspect of the cover uses direct address to draw the attentions of the
potential reader the cover lines use bold clear fonts, with colours that
contrast the picture. The content of the cover lines mostly focuses on the
music and bands featured within the comic. The cover remains uncluttered in the center giving a clear view of the image. All of the cover lines are around the edge of the page so when the viewer stops looking at the image they start to focus on the cover lines. The magazine mainly uses a factual style mode of address in
the cover, with the names of the bands being the main focus of the writing on
the cover. The same is true for the contents page. The article mainly focuses
on an interview framed in a friendly manner with an affable interviewer
discussing casually with the band – the questions are a mixture of personal and
business
The main selling point for my magazine is the interview with
the band I created, which is posed as being an exclusive interview with a
popular band
